We rotate each of our values within the company, and a team member sends out an email with the weekly core value and an insight into how it plays an integral part in our organisation.

Forward Thinking

Shaun McCluskey, Starfish Construction Commercial Director, had the baton recently and was tasked with creating a positive reflection of our 'Forward Thinking' core value.

As Shaun will be the first to admit, he sometimes takes on too much himself and occasionally misses an opportunity to delegate to his team. He decided to try and use this opportunity to ask his 17-year-old daughter, Lana, who is currently in her 6th year of school, and a prolific poetry writer, to create a poem to communicate our Forward Thinking core value.

Shaun explained to Lana how our values are fundamental to Starfish Construction, our people and how we operate. Shaun also explained the importance of core values to the continued growth of a business.

Although Shaun is understandably biased towards his daughter's talent, we are sure you will agree she created a poem that sums up the core value perfectly.
